Breathable Air Mesh Upper
Supplying feet with optimum comfort and breathability, the Wave Rebellion Flash 2 utilises a lightweight engineered mesh. The air mesh allows a comfortable level of fresh air to flow freely through the construction, to ensure that feet don't overheat and remain cool throughout. The uppers also have internal reinforcements to provide your feet with a supportive fit alongside a seamless structure to prevent irritation or abrasion from occurring. Additionally, the shoes have a traditional lace-up system to provide feet with a locked-in, secure fit, preventing in-shoe slippage and allowing you to take confident strides. The tongue is made from an ultra-lightweight mesh fabric ensuring the shoe's construction remains lightweight and comfortable.
Mizuno Enerzy Lite+ Midsole
To enhance underfoot cushioning and provide greater energy return when running fast, the Wave Rebellion Flash 2 utilises two compounds in the midsole. The top layer of the midsole is a Mizuno Enerzy Lite+ compound which is lighter and more responsive than its predecessors and has been developed to improve performance. It guarantees that athletes retain more of the energy that they put in, all whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. The bottom layer of the midsole uses Mizuno Enerzy which brings balance for a smooth stable ride with enhanced durability for everyday training sessions. Through the centre of this cushioning is a Mizuno Wave glass-fibre-infused plate, which provides a balance of high resilience and a moderate level of flexibility for a more versatile ride which provides medial and lateral support. Additionally, it propels you forward, working alongside the Smooth Speed Assist technology to provide you with a rocker effect, pushing you into your next step to further minimise energy loss.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Allowing you to get plenty of miles from your shoes, the outsoles of the Wave Rebellion Flash 2 have a durable rubber outsole, made from a blown rubber construction. This durable outsole provides you with the grip and traction needed for those training or racing sessions, keeping you in control of your run whilst also reducing the overall weight of the shoes.
More than 90% of the upper body lining textile and sockliner lining is made from recycled content, whilst the Wave plate is made from Rislan, a high-performance polymer of 100% renewable origin.
