Nubuck Leather Upper
The Transport Chukka GORE-TEX features a durable nubuck leather upper to ensure long-lasting reliability and comfort when wearing. This rugged leather is present across the boot to ensure durability to protect feet from knocks and bumps on the trails or on your stroll. An abrasive toecap protects toes from injury on the trails and enhances the boots' durability, therefore protecting them further. The soft upper has minimal seams to provide feet with a chafe and irritation-free wearing experience, whilst having moisture-wicking properties to prevent the build-up of sweat and moisture, to keep feet feeling dry and fresh. Recycled Cordura mesh is utilised in areas of high heat to keep feet feeling cool when the temperature heats up. Supplying feet with protection from constantly changing weather conditions, including rain and snow, the Transport Chukka utilises a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit with 70% recycled polyester face fabric, to ensure that feet remain dry. GORE-TEX is also highly breathable and moisture-wicking to further assist feet in staying dry and breathable, providing you protection in all weather conditions. The boots feature an engineered knit collar for comfort against your ankle and protection from dirt and debris entering. This works alongside the quick-toggle laces and soft tongue which provides a locked-in, secure fit, preventing in-shoe slipping from occurring. Traditional laces are also included if you want to swap out the toggle laces for traditional ones. Finally, the walking boots have 360-degree reflectivity to keep you on the move and be seen from dawn to dusk.
The leather utilised throughout the upper has been gold-rated by the Leather Working Group, to ensure the materials have been sourced sustainably.
EVA Midsole
To ensure confident, comfortable strides across the changing trail conditions, the shoes have a full-length 30% sugarcane EVA midsole. This compound is extremely durable, with a soft, comfortable nature and enhanced durability, providing long-lasting cushioning you can rely on mile after mile. The midsole will absorb shocks when striking down on tough, trail paths, helping to prevent injury or discomfort from occurring when tackling your next hurdle. The EVA will also provide energy return to keep strides bouncy and soft, adding a little bit more spring to your step. Finally, the midsole features a moulded 50% soy-based PU sockliner for added underfoot comfort and a soft step.
Vibram EcoStep Recycle EVO Outsole
Providing feet with rugged, durable performance and outstanding traction across all terrain types and trail conditions, the Transport Chukka GORE-TEX utilises a Vibram EcoStep Recycled EVO outsole compound. Made from recycled materials, the outsole provides you grip and traction on the trails, whilst having a highly durable compound for reliability and enhancing the boots' longevity. The outsole forms a powerful bond with the ground, firmly anchoring you and providing a stable and controlled position. Completing the outsole are flex grooves which encourage multi-directional movements.
