Flat Mesh Knit Upper
The Skechers Summit Shoes encase your feet with a flat knit mesh that is extremely breathable and lightweight. As you become more active whilst wearing the shoes, the warm air that builds up inside is able to escape through the material. With this, small sweat molecules will also be able to escape away from the feet. This is then replaced by cooler air from the outside of the shoe, which will leave you feeling fresh and at a regulated temperature. The construction of the shoe around the rearfoot is sturdy, and this will help maintain foot health by keeping your heel in a firm and upright position. For any bumps and knocks to the toes that you might take whilst you are wearing the shoes, the material is slightly thicker, which means that the impacts force will be reduced, protecting the forefoot. The shoes have elasticated bungee laces that don't need fastening, meaning you will be able to quickly slip the shoes on and off. This will automatically personalise the fit of the shoe without feeling too restrictive and tight. The tongue and the ankle collar are soft and padded. This will increase comfort and reduce the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.
Cushioned EVA Midsole
The multi-functional midsole will benefit your foot by preventing heavy contact with the ground which could cause discomfort over time. Not only this but the cushioning will provide a luxuriously soft next to skin feel. The EVA towards the bottom of the midsole is extremely dense and packed in, which will absorb contact with sharp objects and heavy ground contact. The energy created will then be transferred into rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. As you go further up the midsole, the EVA changes in its characteristics. This will give you a soft cushioned feel on every step. In direct contact with the foot, the insole of the shoe is made with a large memory foam pad. Extremely soft and smooth, the foam over time will mould and remember your individual footshape, which will make the shoe feel even more personalised and comfy.
Durable Rubber Outsole
The rubber used on the outsole is extremely durable and abrasion resistant. This means that when you walk on rough and hard surfaces, the definition and shape of the outsole will not be affected, which will help increase the lifespan of the shoe. The rubber itself is able to form a strong connection with the ground, keeping you in control on every step. As well as this, there are multi-directional lugs and grooves which will also dig into surfaces and anchor you into place. This will give you stability in certain movements and actions securing your foot as you takeoff, brake or change direction.
