Engineered Mesh Upper
The Skechers Summit Shoes have been created with an engineered mesh that surrounds the foot with extremely breathable and lightweight comfort. This means that as you become more active whilst wearing the shoes, the warm air that builds up inside is able to escape through the material. With this, small sweat molecules will also be able to escape away from the feet. This is then replaced by cooler air from outside the shoe, which will leave you feeling fresh and at a regulated temperature. The construction of the shoe around the rearfoot is sturdy, and this will help maintain foot health by keeping your heel in a firm and upright position. For any bumps and knocks to the toes that you might take while wearing the shoes, the material is slightly thicker, which means that the impact force will be reduced, protecting the forefoot. The laces are elasticated and don't need fastening, which means that you will be able to slip the shoes on and off quickly. This will automatically personalise the fit of the shoe without feeling too restrictive and tight. The tongue and the ankle collar are soft and padded. This will increase comfort and reduce the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.
Cushioned EVA Midsole
The multi-functional midsole will benefit your foot by preventing heavy contact with the ground from causing discomfort, whilst the cushioning will provide a luxuriously soft next-to-skin feel. The EVA towards the bottom of the midsole is extremely densely packed in, which will absorb contact with sharp objects and heavy ground contact. This energy created will then be transferred into rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. As you go further up the midsole, the EVA changes in its characteristics. This will give you a soft cushioned feel on every step. In direct contact with the foot, the insole of the shoe is made with a large memory foam pad. Extremely soft and smooth, the foam over time will mould and remember your individual foot shape, which will make the shoe feel even more personalised.
Flexible Traction Outsole
Developed using a flexible traction outsole, the Skechers Summit Training Shoe ensure added stability and support. Durable rubber adorns the forefoot, heel and midfoot to resist the traumas of heel strikes and toe-offs to deliver you with a reliable and long-lasting walking buddy. It is extremely flexible, meaning there will be no lasting damage from excessive forces acting against it. The rubber itself is durable, which means that it will retain its shape and definition on rough terrain. The outsole ensures multi-directional traction for optimal grip.
