Multi-Panel Upper
Constructed using a dual-ply Lorenzi microfibre, the Scarpa Vapour Lace Climbing Shoes are a low-volume favourite worthy for all climbing disciplines. Designed to provide the right amount of flexibility and support, the upper conforms to the shape of the foot yet, retains its elasticity for a better, more supportive fit. The microfibre upper ensures the shoes hold their shape whilst leather panels wrap the toes and base of the foot and TPU laminate limits stretch and provides lacing support. D2 rubber seamlessly joins softer M50 rubber over the toes with a more supportive rubber around the front of the foot. This helps to increase comfort and provide better toe precision. An innovative PAF heel system helps spread the force of the heel tension, which also helps with over-compression of the toe box, and increases the fit of the heel. The aggressive tension rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon and connected with softer rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel. Lastly, an innovative closure system ensures a locked-down fit for added midfoot support.
