Scarpa Spirit Approach Walking Shoes

Spirit has the secret of emotion, of the mountain, of travel. But above all, it has the feeling of freedom that needs eyes and feet to be seen and lived.
Canvas Cotton Upper
Comfort is a strong point of these Scarpa shoes. A wide fit offers a roomy feel and a 100% recycled PE lacing system locks the foot in place to reduce in-shoe slippage. The lacing has been derived from packaging materials, bottles and containers for food. A padded collar features on this low-top shoe. This combination offers support, flexibility and comfort with every step you take. The canvas cotton is 70% recycled and 30% organic with new generation biodegradable and renewable reinforcements integrated into the upper. A protective rubber rand on the toe area is also made from recycled materials. The rubber wraps the midsole for greater precision and durability.
The Spirit has been designed with a CA last that has been slightly modified by thinning the heel and reducing the volume of the instep.
Medium Density Compressed EVA Midsole
The midsole features EVA cushioning without sacrificing that ultra-stable feel. This provides your feet with a nice, plush cushioned feel and adds heightened responsiveness to give an all-round comfortable feeling as you rack up the miles. The medium density compressed EVA is 15% recycled.
PRESA Outsole
The outsole is designed to have a solid and compact look. Constructed using a compound that is able to combine an extraordinary grip and durability, the Spirit is perfect to confront yourself with previously inaccessible walls. The large climbing zone offers excellent sensitivity, grip and accurate precision. This outsole compound is made of 40% recycled rubber and 30% natural rubber.
