Scarpa Spin Planet Trail Running Shoes
As part of Scarpa's sustainable journey, the Spin Planet introduces a new concept into the trail running category with recycled upper fabric and a 45% recycled midsole. These are the ideal shoes for those who are pursuing long distances on the trail.
Recycled Mesh and Microfibre Upper
To ensure feet remain comfortable and feel fresh on the trail, the Scarpa Spin Planet utilise a recycled mesh and microfibre upper, providing you with a reliable choice of trail running shoe. The mesh allows a constant supply of air to flow freely through the shoes, therefore providing your feet with a fresh, cool sensation, preventing them from overheating on the trail. The microfibre fabrics used in the uppers are comfortable and soft against your feet, helping to prevent irritation or abrasion from occurring. This wonderful combination of materials helps to reduce moisture and sweat build up, by effectively wicking moisture from the surface of your skin. This results in dry, comfortable sensations during your run. Not only this, but being fully recycled, these uppers are an excellent sustainable option. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
A comfortable, plush EVA midsole compound is provided through the shoes to ensure lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces and is exceptionally lightweight, meaning long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. The EVA midsole is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for the unpredictable trails and tough terrain. 45% of the Spin Planets midsole is recycled.
PRESA Outsole
Exceptional grip and control are guaranteed in a wide range of different terrains, and on different surfaces with the PRESA outsole. The rubber is able to form a solid connection to the ground which will create strong traction. This will keep you under control when taking on changing, technical paths and trails. The rubber is abrasion-resistant, which will retain its shape and definition despite being put to the test of soft and technical surfaces. This will mean that the long-term functionality of the outsole is maintained well.
