Scarpa Quantic Climbing Shoes
Suited to a climber with a large spectrum of climbing shoe needs, the Quantic features a comfortable and adaptive fit combined with a supportive midsole. The slightly downturned shape with a medium-to-high angled toe box is combined with flexan insert plus HT tension for a shoe that performs both on rock and in the gym.
Microfibre Upper
Constructed using a microfibre upper, the Scarpa Quantic Climbing Shoes are worthy of any outdoor or indoor adventure. Designed to provide the right amount of flexibility and support, the upper conforms to the shape of the foot yet, retains its elasticity for a better, more supportive fit. The microfibre upper ensures the shoes hold their shape for longer than other leather equivalents plus, it is soft on the skin for complete comfort. A PAF tension system also exists within the upper to reduces pressure within the shoe. The innovative system is placed in the heel to help spread the force of the heel tensions which also helps with over-compression of the toe-box. The aggressive tension rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon and connected with softer rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel. A rand stretches around the heel and to the toes to ensure durability and protection from knocks and scrapes. Lastly, an innovative closure system consisting of two velcro straps that pull in the opposite direction ensures a locked-down fit for added midfoot support.
Flexan Midsole
The midsole of the Quantic Climbing Shoes is low in profile to save on weight and increase underfoot feel. The Flexan midsole ensures a level of support that doesn't compromise on sensitivity. The midsole spreads the force in the forefoot and allows for excellent flexibility in the rear of the shoe so you can edge into the smallest crevices with the confidence you can get back out again.
Vibram Outsole
Develeoped using a Vibram XS Edge Outsole, the Quantic Climbing Shoes ensure maximum support whether you're outdoor, indoor or lead climbing. This specialist outsole allows you to focus your weight on the tiniest of holds and keeps its shape in tough conditions. A truly robust outsole, the XS Edge can endure repeated abuse in hot and cold weather conditions giving you a shoe that can truly perform in all weather conditions. The rigid nature of the outsole supports you during any climb by adapting to the ground below you and bearing your weight as you move from rock type to rock type. The superior rigidness of this shoe is counterbalanced by adaptability and sensitivity.
