Working alongside this, a GORE-TEX ePE Extended Comfort membrane keeps your feet dry in all types of conditions, so you can focus on the trail ahead. The moisture-wicking properties of the materials also prevent sweat from building up, so feet remain dry on challenging terrain. The heel's ergonomic shape offers an exceptional foothold for support on difficult journeys. The Rubber Toe Protection and the Rubber Trail Protection shields feet at the heel and toes, as well as the shoes themself, from damage or injury caused by bumps and bashes when under pressure. A flexible, secure knit collar wraps around your ankles comfortably to add support and stability and stop dirt and debris from entering when traversing muddy trails. With shock-absorbing properties, the midsole helps to reduce the risks of injury and discomfort by sponging impact from striking down on to tough and changing trail conditions. Working with this, an Ortholite Hybrid 5mm footbed softens your landing further and adds extra levels of impact absorption for optimum in-shoe comfort.
FriXion Red Outsole
The Prodigio Hike features a FriXion Red outsole compound which supplies outstanding grip, traction and high-wearing support on mud and rocky terrain. This tried-and-tested compound is super durable, improving the longevity and functionality of the outsole, and provides the perfect combination of super durable grip with shock-absorbing properties underfoot. Adorning the outsole is a strategically placed aggressive lug pattern that digs deep into wet ground, anchoring your feet into place and providing you confidence when traversing tricky, slippy conditions. Fitted with an Impact Brake System, the outsole will assist with technical descents, relaxing you as you head down the hills.
