One-Piece Mesh Upper
The Cloudboom Strike is a super-lightweight running companion that keeps you race-ready. To ensure optimised breathability and exceptional comfort when focusing on the run ahead, the shoes utilise a one-piece, semi-transparent mesh upper which allows a constant supply of air to flow freely through the shoes, keeping feet cool and fresh during intense exercise. Reducing weight further the upper is semi-transparent and thin to provide an effortless running experience, whilst the one-piece design means a seamless construction, preventing irritation and chafing when feet move around within the shoes. A cage-like construction locks down the midfoot for a secure, race-ready fit and works with the laces to prevent excessive movement during your race.
Advanced Midsole and Outsole
Using On's unique outsole-midsole technology, the Cloudboom Strike utilises strategically placed Cloudtec elements to provide outstanding cushioning and optimised comfort which creates a faster, smoother roll-through experience. This advanced technology adapts to your stride and reacts to your unique movements to receive a soft, bouncy landing and encourage explosive take-offs. Reacting according to your distinctive movements, CloudTec compresses horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should. The horizontal deformation of the Clouds also reduces braking force. Additionally, the CloudTec elements provide shock-absorbing comfort to help reduce stress and strain on your joints that often occur when striking down on harder surfaces, therefore keeping you comfortable. Working with this, a stiff, spoon-shaped carbon fibre Speedboard works as a springboard, absorbing energy and transferring this into the forefoot. The combined technology adapts to your stride and reacts to your unique movements to receive a soft, bouncy landing and encourage explosive take-offs.
Adding to the super cushioning and comfort, the shoes utilise On's Helion HF hyper foam technology, which is super lightweight and high-performing, to maximise your running efficiency. The compound yields energy, to push you into your next stride, providing you with super responsive strides and returning the energy. The innovative Bounceboard construction propels you forward with outstanding power, for super-soft landing. A removable layer of plush cushioning, it maximizes energy return for a bouncy feeling underfoot, whilst still abiding by stack height regulations. Ensuring grip is provided when racing towards your next PB, a durable rubber adorns the outsole, keeping you stable and secure on a range of road-running and racing surfaces. The rubber is more present on the heel and forefoot, to keep you stable when striking, and enhance the durability in areas that are higher wearing.
