Merrell Nova 3 Trail Running Shoes
Merrell's best-selling trail running shoe just got better in the Nova 3. Key updates include a more durable upper for overfoot protection, a softer and more responsive midsole with FloatPro Foam pods strategically placed under the heel and forefoot where you need extra cushion the most, and a new grip-enhancing design to the Vibram outsole.
Mesh and TPU Upper
The Merrell Nova 3 Trail Running Shoe is constructed using a mesh and TPU upper and with a breathable mesh lining; the mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a supply of cool, fresh air whilst simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides in the shoe during heavy exertion. A breathable mesh lining works with Cleansport NXT technology which is an antimicrobial agent to keep you feeling cooler and fresher for longer; the antimicrobial agents reside in the shoe lining and materials preventing sweat and moisture from affecting the freshness of your shoe by penetrating and disrupting the reproduction of the odour-causing microbes in your shoes. The padded collar combined with the traditional lace closure system provides a secure fit locking the foot into the shoe and anchoring to the midsole to reduce in-shoe slippage for quick descents and sharp turns.
FloatPro Foam Midsole
Within the midsole Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. FloatPro Foam pods located in the forefoot and heel further enhance the cushioning and help to absorb shock.
Vibram TC5+ Outsole
Designed with Vibram TC5+ these shoes are designed for those who want a challenge; with the best combination of traction and durability, these trail running shoes are perfect for slippery and challenging terrain. The high-performance rubber compound offers grip and traction on wet and dry surfaces in the most extreme temperatures and with the outsole design boasting no lugs underneath the arch, your foot is encouraged to flex more naturally with greater comfort - the ideal shoe for demanding activity.
