Breathable Air-Mesh Upper
Surrounded by an extremely breathable mesh, the upper of the Distance S 11 will keep you feeling ventilated over long periods of exercise. The warm air that builds up as a result of increased activity in the shoe is easily able to escape out of the material where it is then replaced by fresher and cooler air from outside. In addition to this, moisture from sweat is also able to escape out of the shoe, which will keep you feeling fresh. A performance lace and tongue system will allow you to find a supremely comfortable and secure fit easily without any fuss. The new gender-specific fit ensures that the Distance 11 conforms to the natural shape of your feet ensuring a perfect fit while an anti-friction lining help to reduce chafing and rubbing. Lastly, a smooth lining and plush tongue provide enhanced levels of comfort.
Action/Reaction Midsole
The Distance S 11 uses Newton's developed Action/Reaction Technology. As you take a stride, the responsive and trampoline-like cushioning system will absorb the energy before quickly returning it as bounce-back. This will mean that the more energy that you put in, the more you will get back from it to give you an added boost. The system will also mean that you will benefit from full cushioning that will offer protection. The Distance S 11s utilise a Multi-Density Medial Support for additional stability, keeping your foot in a good position, and preventing ankle-rolling. The new Hytrel footbed technology resides in the midsole to help absorb impact when you plant your foot to help energy return so you can push further. With a drop of 2mm, the shoe encourages you to run in a more natural style with its level platform.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Grip and traction are guaranteed with the durable rubber outsole. The material is abrasion resistant, which will protect itself from damage when running on hard surfaces. The rubber is also able to secure a stronghold with a wide range of different surfaces. This will give you the confidence of control, whilst also providing a firm base for you to push off from. The multi-directional grooves on the outsole are designed to provide you with more traction, even on wet ground.
