Newton Distance Elite Women's Running Shoes
Originally designed for our elite racing team, this shoe was tested and loved by some of the fastest runners in the country before being released to the public. The classic 4 lug Newton ride with a seamless upper feels fast, light and efficient. The Distance Elite is great for high or low distance training and racing.
Open Air Mesh Upper
In the upper is a seamless, highly breathable, fast-drying, open-air mesh that allows air to fully permeate the entire upper of the shoe to ensure a healthy climate within the running shoes. An asymmetrical lacing system and midfoot welded support straps work in unison to achieve a snug-like fit, wrapping your foot in extreme comfort, whilst a minimal heel counter helps to lock the foot in place for a better feel and to prevent any loose/unnecessary movement within the shoe itself.
Action/Reaction Technology Midsole
The secret sauce powering the speed of Newton running shoes is its proprietary Action/Reaction Technology. Generated by the active movement of the lugs, Action/Reaction Technology created a responsive, trampoline-like cushioning system that provides quicker bound-back and loses less energy than a traditional foam core running shoe. A high-rebound EVA compound is added to work with the Action/Reaction Technology to produce a highly responsive and energy-returning midsole that springs you off into your next step.
Over time, many other shoe designs have become thicker, more cushioned and heavier with greater heel heights. In the spirit of making every stride better, Newton shoes feature lower heel-to-toe drops to put you in a position to run most naturally.
High-Density Rubber Outsole
A high-density rubber in the midfoot provides added durability in high-wear areas ensuring you get the most out of your Newton running shoes, whilst lightweight EVA is added to the heel to provide extra cushioning whilst moving through the gait cycle.
