GORE-TEX Upper
Constructed with a combination of synthetic and mesh materials with a GORE-TEX lining, the New Balance Hierro v7 Running Shoes wrap the foot in breathable comfort whilst providing a more secure, locked-down fit. As well as this, the upper features a no-sew construction for a sleek fit and feel. The lightweight, breathable mesh forefoot allows cool air to flow through the shoe removing uncomfortable heat build-up and regulating internal temperature to create a healthy environment that feet can thrive in. As well as this, the upper construction is also highly durable and supportive to encourage a locked-down fit. It is also soft on the foot thanks to the nicely padded tongue. The GORE-TEX fabric effectively seals out moisture, whilst allowing heat and vapour to escape for breathable weather protection. Plus, Toe Protect rubber compound wraps the toes to reinforce the shoe's trail-worthy state, increasing its durability and defending feet against roots, rocks and other general hazards. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The newest version of Fresh Foam is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. The full-length Fresh Foam keeps the cushioning consistent and improves the transition in the gait cycle. The top-bed foam and Fresh Foam X underfoot construction displaces heel impact and offers a responsive approach to cushioning. The Fresh Foam X Hierro V7s are still fitted with the New Balance signature plush, but firm and responsive cushioning. The midsole is also able to follow the natural bending of the foot, allowing the feet to move comfortably in a range of directions.

A lighter compound than ever, the Fresh Foam X Hierro V7 Trail Shoes feature an impressive Vibram MegaGrip Outsole which ensures traction and grip on varied terrain. This high-performance rubber compound gifts you with an unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity and optimal ground adaptability. The rubber is able to form a solid bond with the ground beneath it to ensure traction and control as you explore the unbeaten path. The shoes have a new lug construction which supplies you with better traction on gravel and loose dirt, allowing you to tackle awkward ascents and difficult descents.
