Made using a second-skin style mesh construction, the 1080v13s have exceptionally breathable and fresh properties, to keep you cool and comfortable on your run. This construction keeps feet secure within the shoes, whilst allowing fresh, cool air to travel around your foot for an optimum level of comfort. Not only this, but the bootie construction swathes you in a sock-like fit; it conforms to the shape of your foot for a supportive and comfortable fit. The stretchy fit of the upper allows for easy on and off. As well as this, a no-sew material application means reduced weight plus a minimal risk of rubbing and blisters; because everyone knows how those can ruin your day. Additionally, the shoes have a traditional lace-up construction to provide a secure, locked-in fit, meaning in-shoe slipping is reduced.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The newest version of Fresh Foam is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. Attenuating shock impact, the Fresh Foam X protects against stress to joints when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the Fresh Foam is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-toe transition and reduces the use of superfluous muscle power; this diminishes fatigue, keeping you motivated for longer. Completing the midsole is an ortholite sock liner that offers exceptional breathability and moisture management properties; the sock liner allows cool air to circulate whilst moisture vapour is moved away for a cool, damp-free environment in which feet can thrive. The shoes also have a rocker profile for a smoother, natural feeling transition.
Durable Rubber Outsole
A durable rubber outsole completes the Fresh Foam 1080v13, supplying a sticky grip for multi-directional traction. The rubber can withstand damage from uneven terrain to give you added confidence when out running. In addition to this, the rubber can create a solid bond of friction with a variety of different surfaces, crucial for control as you race around the roads. This will reduce the risk of injury from slipping or rolling your ankle, as you will be held in a firm and upright position.
