Breathable AIRmesh Upper
Featuring breathable AIRmesh materials, the uppers of the Wave Lightning Neo Shoes maintain the temperature surrounding your feet. This allows your feet to stay cool during intense activity, due to the excellent ventilation that's provided through the shoes. The materials and design of this shoe provide you with the feeling of a second skin, which comfortably wraps around your foot. Additionally, the upper utilises Mizuno's Dynamotion Fit technology, which uses highly advanced motion capture and biomechanics technologies to provide you with a supreme fit. This means that as your foot moves through the gait cycle, the shoe will also work with your unique movement, and can accommodate the whole process. Finally, to protect your feet and increase the durability of the product is a DuraShield layer.
Mizuno Wave Midsole
Mizuno's Wave technology is embedded into the midsole to provide flexibility in one direction and support in the other. The midsole technology works to absorb the shock of heel striking without compromising comfort or cushioning. Once the shock has been absorbed the energy from that is harnessed and is then transferred to the forefoot to push you off and guide you onto the next movement. The wave prevents partial deformation and provides dynamic support to stabilise and guide the foot forward. Furthermore, another exceedingly lightweight material used in the midsole is known as PoWnCe which offers excellent comfort and resilience properties. SR Touch technologies provide lightweight cushioning, which absorbs shocks and keeps transitions smooth and fast, due to its quick rebound properties whilst U4icX absorbs impact for the smoothest ride possible. A removable insock also ensures added underfoot cushioning and comfort.
XG Rubber Outsole
A high-performance XG Rubber is used on the outsole to enhance traction where the sole needs it the most whilst a Dynamotion Groove is used which uses specifically designed flex grooves to improve stability and on-court agility, allowing the shoes to flex where the foot would naturally flex. Lastly, specifically engineered diagonal grooves known as D-Flex Grooves have been built into the midfoot area of the shoe to allow the player to turn at maximum speed and power by efficiently transferring natural body movement and change in direction.
