Elastic Knit Upper
Providing you with a secure, flexible fit, the Lightning Neo 2s utilise an elasticated knit upper. This construction wraps around your foot to ensure a sock-like fit, enhancing in-shoe comfort and providing you with a pair of shoes that fit perfectly. Not only this, but the knit construction keeps feet cool, due to strategically placed perforations which work to allow air to flow freely throughout the shoes. This prevents overheating on the court, allowing you to concentrate solely on the game ahead. Additionally, the shoes are moisture-wicking to prevent an uncomfortable build-up of sweat and moisture by effectively removing the excess and dispersing it through the fabrication to provide you with quick-drying materials. The sock-like fit of the shoes means that your foot remains secure during twists and turns on the court. Additionally, the upper utilises Mizuno's DynamotionFit technology, which uses highly advanced motion capture and biomechanics technologies to provide you with a supreme fit. This means that as your foot moves through the gait cycle, the shoe will also work with your unique movement, and can accommodate the whole process. Heel pull tabs assist you with putting the shoes on, and traditional lace-up construction, ensures you have a secure, locked-in fit.
Mizuno Enerzy Midsole
A combination of highly technical fabrics and constructions provides you with enhanced comfort and cushioning. The main technology enhancing the performance of the midsoles is the Mizuno Enerzy Core, which is soft and responsive, ensuring it provides a supportive function to avoid overpronation. The double fan-shaped Mizuno Wave plate works in perfect tandem with Mizuno Enerzy to guarantee higher stability from landing transition, whilst providing an overall softer and more responsive running experience. Mizuno Enerzy has been developed with the mission to enhance performance capacity and guarantee that athletes retain more of the energy that they put in. All whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. Alongside this, a Premium Insock ensures additional comfort and cushioning when or if you might need it.
XG Rubber Outsole
A high-performance XG Rubber is used on the outsole to enhance traction where the sole needs it the most whilst a Dynamotion Groove is used which uses specifically designed flex grooves to improve stability and on-court agility, allowing the shoes to flex where the foot would naturally flex. Lastly, specifically engineered diagonal grooves known as D-Flex Grooves have been built into the midfoot area of the shoe to allow the player to turn at maximum speed and power by efficiently transferring natural body movement and change in direction.
