Rab Microlight Alpine Women's Jacket
The classic lightweight down jacket has been updated. With a fresh design aesthetic and recycled construction, the highly packable Microlight Alpine Jacket is the go-to system for rapid warmth when the temperature drops.
Designed to protect in extreme environments, the Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket is perfect for outdoor adventures. Featuring Pertex Quantum, the jacket uses an ultra-thin water-resistant coating to provide increased weather resistance for extreme conditions. Pertex Quantum delivers a high level of water resistance whilst remaining lightweight and breathable for all temperature comfort. The durable nature of the fabric works to give you peace of mind on tough ascents, it provides lightweight abrasion resistance so you'll never have to worry about tears. Pertex Quantum is ideal for use in cold or damp environments where keeping warm and dry is crucial. As well as this, the Pertex fabrication maximises the efficiency of insulation to keep you toasty and warm when temperatures drop. To keep you comfortable and warm, a 700-fill power P.U.R.E recycled hydrophobic down has been used within the fabrication; it offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. The jacket also features a combination of zoned micro and nano baffles to increase core warmth without inflating weight or bulk. Nikwax has also been used on the jacket to keep you insulated even in wet conditions.
To provide added protection, a hood can be used to shield your face when the weather takes a turn for the worse. In addition to this, the hood features a stiffened peak which allows you to find a perfect fit. A relaxed fit is designed to be slim fitting but not too tight, it supplies comfortable coverage that moves with you and provides enough room for layering if you require it. The fit also ensures freedom of movement because your clothing choice should never inhibit your natural motion. A front zip exists for complete temperature control, it can be worn up to seal in the heat and zipped down to release an intolerable heat build-up. The drawcord adjustable hem allows you to cinch down the fit whilst elasticated cuffs help to seal in escaping heat. Zippered hand pockets can be used to store your essential items or keep your hands warm when temperatures drop plus, a chest pocket can be used to store valuable items. Completing the jacket is a stuff sack which allows you to pack down the jacket when it is not in use.
