Merrell MOAB Speed GORE-TEX Running Shoes
The Moab Speed takes the innovations of the archival Moab and updates them for the ever-changing trail. Built on the solid foundational rock plate, the Moab Speed features recycled laces, lining and footbed. The shoe is fitted with FloatPro® and a new Vibram Traction Lug outsole design for added traction and stability.
GORE-TEX Upper
The Merrell Moab Speed GORE-TEX Women's Walking Shoe is constructed using a mesh and TPU upper and with a breathable mesh lining; the mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a supply of cool, fresh air whilst simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides in the shoe during heavy exertion. The bonded InvisibleFit constructed upper offers lightweight, breathable protection that fits and feels like an unprotected shoe, for full protection whilst out on the trail without compromising quick footing. Engineered with a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane, the Moab Speed GORE-TEX offers complete waterproof performance and exceptional breathability; step confidently and comfortably through wet and muddy terrain as the GORE-TEX membrane allows water vapor to escape without letting water droplets in. A breathable mesh lining works with M-Select FRESH antimicrobial agents to keep you feeling cooler and fresher for longer; the antimicrobial agents reside in the shoe lining and materials preventing sweat and moisture from affecting the freshness of your shoe by penetrating and disrupting the reproduction of the odor-causing microbes in your shoes. The hyperlock TPU Film Heel Counter combined with the traditional lace closure system provides a secure fit locking the foot into the shoe and anchoring to the midsole to reduce in-shoe slippage for quick descents and sharp turns.
FloatPro Foam Midsole
Within the midsole Merrell's signature FloatPro Foam has been used to ensure a light, durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you'll never feel weighed down. The lightweight midsole offers supreme cushioning and support to key areas like the arch and heel, holding the foot securely in place for a smoother transition and wear. By supporting these key areas of the foot, the midsole material can also help to offer enough support to help prevent discomfort and possible injury. An EVA foam insole sits underneath the foot to ensure complete comfort over long distances. The insole provides additional cushioning so you can go further for longer in complete comfort.
Vibram EcoDura
Developed using a Vibram EcoDura outsole, the MOAB Speed provides extreme grip and traction for all surface wear. Developed for extremely slippery terrain, the extremely durable 30% recycled rubber can form a solid bond with the ground to anchor you in place. Despite facing abuse from rough ground, the rubber stands up against this, deflecting the blows and retaining a strong shape and structure. Ensuring multi-directional grip the outsole ensures traction on varied terrain ensuring confident footing on varied terrain. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Completing the outsole is a rockplate that protects forefoot against sharp objects so you can continue with complete confidence.
