Waterproof Leather Upper
Utilising a leather construction and a 100% recycled fleece lining the MOAB 3 Apex Mid Walking Boots have a comfortable, upper with the ability to keep your feet warm, as well as dry thanks to the waterproof lining integrated into the boots. Not only does this seal out water but allows moisture to escape reducing uncomfortable heat build-up. The leather materials provide an enhanced level of protection against, knocks and bumps, dirt and debris, for boots with long-lasting properties. 100% recycled breathable mesh inserts allow feet to breathe by replacing warm, used air, with cool, fresh air, keeping feet at an optimum level of comfort. A protective, abrasion-resistant toe cap and heel further enhance protection for your feet, ensuring knocks and bumps won't cause injury to your toes and feet. Alongside this, a bellowed tongue prevents dirt and debris from entering your boots and the 100% recycled laces and webbing with hooks keep feet locked in and secure, ensuring in-shoe slippage is prevented.
Super Rebound Compound Midsole
To provide feet with a high level of comfort and breathability, a 50% recycled, removable EVA foam footbed sits inside the shoes for instant comfort making each mile feel as good as the first. A 100% recycled mesh footbed cover resides through the midsole of these boots to keep feet feeling fresh from start to finish. This is combined with the integrated Merrell Air Cushions located in the heels, the Merrell MOAB 3 Apex Walking Boots work to reduce fatigue and provide medium support to keep you going further for longer during demanding and challenging activities. An embedded rock plate between the midsole and the outsole protects the feet from rocks and debris, so you can run safely and comfortably, knowing that you can handle anything the trail throws at you. A moulded Nylon arch shank provides a supportive structure that sits between the insole and the outsole; diminishing the load incurred on your feet and calves over the course of your hike. Finally, a Super Rebound Compound provides feet with durable shock absorption in the heel to help reduce torque, as well as, allows for a smooth transition into the midfoot.
Vibram Megagrip Outsole
Designed with a technical compound, and exceptional overall performance, perfect for outdoor activities, the outsole construction of Moab 3 Apex has a Vibram Megagrip outsole. The outsole is designed to offer traction and support in all conditions. This construction allows the boots to have some flexibility for more comfortable stepping. The advanced rubber compound provides traction on wet and dry surfaces in even the most extreme temperatures ensuring you have confident footing no matter where you chose to explore. Finished with a 5mm lug pattern the outsole helps you move through dirt and trail with unparalleled traction and grip.
