Trango Tech Leather GORE-TEX is a breathable, waterproof leather boot designed for alpine hiking: particularly lightweight, comfortable and durable thanks to the Nubuck uppers.
GORE-TEX, Nubuck Leather Upper
A combination of Nubuck Leather alongside a GORE-TEX lining, the Trango Tech Leather GORE-TEX walking boots keep feet feeling dry, fresh and protected through your expedition. The GORE-TEX membrane works to effectively prevent water from entering the shoes, meaning feet remain dry and comfortable, even when the rain's pouring. The uppers have a clean, modern design due to the single leather materials that have been provided in the construction of the shoes, and the reduced seams enhance the waterproofing of these walking boots. The high-quality nubuck leather helps protect your feet against knocks and bumps, as well as the protective microfibre provided throughout the uppers. In addition, a 3D Flex system is applied to the heel and works in tandem with the EVA stabiliser insert to offer superb support and allow for maximum control on steep terrain. The uppers have an integrated tongue, which has been made from soft, stretchy fabric, providing maximum comfort, and is enhanced by the ergonomic shape and snug fit of the shoes. Finally, the graded lacing system allows for perfect regulation of volumes while a protective toe cap is added for excellent protection against rocks and other trail hazards.
PU Midsole
Utilising a shock-absorbing polyurethane, low-density midsole, the Trango Tech also has PU-Skin which helps to reduce impact underfoot, and promotes prolonged use of the shoes. Additionally, the shoes have a microfibre insole added to the midsole, providing an additional layer of comfort and cushioning. As well as this, the combination of materials present through the midsole provides your feet with exceptional durability and cushioning. Finally, the midsole has a rear TPU insert making them crampon compatible.
Vibram Cube Sole Outsole
Utilising a Vibram Cube Sole, the Trango Trek GTX have an outsole that's been specifically designed for La Sportiva. The outsoles have a lower volume, which therefore reduces the weight, providing you with a light and modern backpacking pair of boots. The outsole also utilises an Impact Brake System, which offers real advantages during racing by reducing negative ground impact. The unique position of the lugs allows as many of them as possible to come into contact with the ground, for maximum impact absorption. This combination of materials provides you with traction and support in varying conditions.
