This jacket is a piece of performance wear. It is designed to take you to the summit in comfort. It is crafted using top Mountain Equipment technologies to find the perfect balance of weight to warmth and deliver a lightweight, bulk-free garment. These technologies include FIRESTORM, a combination baffle system that harnesses the advantages of stitch-through constructions. Pleat and stitch-through baffles are combined to eke out every bit of warmth from the down, and a GORE-TEX Windstopper shell seals out the windchill. This membrane is highly breathable yet prevents heat loss and keeps out the cold, all whilst being water resistant. The hybrid construction envelopes the inner with the protective outer to increase the efficiency of the inner layer. The jacket is insulated with European goose down for an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio, durability and packability. It has a fill power of 800 and is DOWN CODEX approved for an ethical approach. The jacket has been cut with an alpine fit with pre-shaped sleeves to ensure comfort and freedom of movement. A Super Alpine HC Insulated Hood provides extra coverage when needed, it is fully adjustable and helmet-compatible. The sleeves feature internal elastication at the cuff to keep the heat in, the cold out, and to make layering with gloves easy. Plenty of storage is provided too, with two outer zipped hand pockets, two zipper outer chest pockets, and two inner zipped pockets for secure storage. This means you can tuck your GPS or gloves away quickly and easily should you need to, and valuables can be stowed away safely inside the jacket. For maximum versatility, the jacket packs away into a small included stuff sack when not in use, helping to keep bulk to a minimum.
