Classic trails call for classic boots. Blending traditional all-leather construction with modern waterproof/breathable technology, the Pyrenees are built to keep feet dry and comfortable over long days and rough miles.
KEEN.DRY Upper
Providing you with complete protection from moisture, the Pyrenees Walking Boots have a KEEN.DRY membrane that prevents moisture and wet weather from penetrating into the boots. Using Keen's technology, this membrane will block all moisture out, preventing it from entering and causing any discomfort within the boots. Despite sealing moisture out, the membrane will allow air to enter and exit. This will work constantly over time to provide you with effective breathability and ventilation, which will also ensure that you will stay cool and comfortable. The upper is made from premium nubuck leather which has been treated in Working Group certified tanneries. The production of the leather at certified tanneries use reduced chemical processes. On the outside of the boots, the surface is treated with a PFC-free water repellency which will repel moisture away from the surface of the material. This will mean that there won't be any standing water to make the boots feel heavier. Thick material covers vulnerable areas of the feet like the toes and the heel, keeping you protected and comfortable within the boots. A secure lacing system with eyelets will make it easy to secure the fit of the boots to hug the feet, guaranteeing tailored comfort and control within the boots. A soft and padded tongue and ankle collar will remove the risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing. Carrying dirty boots is easy to do with a heel loop. The boots have been treated with eco anti-odour technology in the footbed, which removes the use of pesticides and biocides. The treatment will mean that it will naturally break down the odour in sweat, keeping the boots smelling and feeling fresh. The footbed also has a metatomically design, which will provide excellent arch support and the contours will naturally cradle the feet.
Dual-Density EVA Midsole
The EVA midsole significantly improves the cushioning and comfort to help each stride and improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. The compression moulded dual-density EVA Midsole holds excellent cushioning abilities absorbing shock as you the heel strike phase of the gait cycle ensuring that with every step you take, you get the same shock absorption and comfort. Additionally, removable dual-density metatomical EVA insoles provide added underfoot cushioning.
All Terrain Rubber Outsole
Able to form a solid grip and connection with a wide range of surfaces, the rubber outsole on the Pyrenees Walking Boots will keep you in firm control no matter what the trail throws in your path. The rubber has a strong grip and will form a solid connection with the ground below. For long-term functionality, the rubber will also look after itself by being abrasion-resistant, preventing wear from occurring and affecting the overall shape and definition of the boot. Multi-directional 4mm lugs will further anchor the foot to the ground, especially on wet surfaces, providing a firm and strong launchpad for every step.
