GORE-TEX Upper
With a high-quality, long-lasting construction, the Makra Treks have a Perwanger leather upper, for keeping feet protected on the trail, whilst supplying you with a pair of shoes you can rely on for the long run. The materials are highly breathable to prevent irritation or overheating from occurring and moisture-wicking meaning sweat and moisture will be effectively removed from your feet to keep you focused on the trail ahead. Alongside this, the shoes utilise a GORE-TEX membrane which will keep your feet dry in wet weather. GORE-TEX technology repels water and rain from entering, therefore keeping feet comfortable in changing weather conditions. The 'Hanwag 2 Zone Lock' system with mechanical lace lock works to improve the fit at the heel. Unlike conventional clamping lace hooks, the mechanical lace lock remains fixed in place and cannot slip unless it's manually adjusted. Not only this, the lace system can be adjusted single-handedly. Finally, working alongside this, the shoes have a soft cushioned collar and tongue, to prevent irritation and chafing from occurring and stop dirt and/or debris from entering the shoes.
PU Midsole
With a particularly comfortable footbed, the Makra Trek GORE-TEX provides better shock absorbency and maximum comfort. This cushioned midsole ensures soft cushioning that works to protect your foot and joints as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces and tricky trails. It also works to absorb shocks for even better protection for a midsole that allows you to hike faster for longer.
Vibram Integral Light Outsole
Providing you with a combination of stability, cushioning and reaction, the Integral Light Outsole has a TPU frame running from the heel to midfoot, providing you with torsional stability. Additionally, the construction is soft and cushioned to allow soft, stable security underfoot. The shoes use an aggressive rubber outsole tread combined with Vibram rubber compound to provide a good grip on all types of terrain. Working alongside this, the shoes have 3D PrismBase technology, allowing an extremely lightweight tread construction, further adding to your grip underfoot and allowing you to concentrate on the journey ahead.
