Filled with an extremely efficient synthetic material, the Spire Mimic will guarantee exceptional warmth in all conditions. The mixture of quilted and non-quilted areas will also improve the overall versatility of the jacket, making it perfect for all outdoor activities.
Utilising synthetic Mimic Gold, this material will emulate the warming qualities of down, whilst remaining lightweight. This efficient heat-to-weight ratio will keep you feeling comfortable in the coldest of conditions, without feeling too heavy or restrictive in any way. The Mimic Gold will also provide you with high performance even in wet conditions. The outside of the jacket has a durable water-repellent treated Pertex shell fabric, which will immediately wick surface moisture away from the jacket. This will keep you feeling lightweight and comfortable over the course of the day. The Pertex material is also extremely strong and durable, able to stand up against forces placed against it as it is tear-resistant. The jacket will seal in heat extremely effectively but still allow a controlled flow of air in and out, which will give you a little bit of ventilation. In addition to this, Pertex material will block the entry of wind for exceptional comfort. The jacket has strategically placed non-quilted areas, which will allow greater ease of movement, making a wide range of movements possible without any restriction. This is perfect for active days on the trail, where you may be required to use your upper body. To ensure that there isn't any compromise of heat in these areas, they are insulated with a synthetic QuadFusion sheet, which will mean that there won't be any cold spots. Stretchy fleece inserts under the arm and on the wrists give the jacket extra strength and personalised comfort. There is also elastic piping on the cuffs and hems, which will improve comfort, as well as retain heat. A full-length zip down the front of the jacket makes it easy to adjust quickly and simply for extra warmth, or to allow air to enter and exit to cool you down should you feel too warm. A zip garage and soft material at the top of the zip will feel comfortable and remove the risk of irritation on the chin. For extra warmth, and to store small items, the jacket has two zippered handwarmer pockets, as well as a chest pocket, providing you with ample space to carry essentials securely. Articulated sleeves will mean that you will be able to make a full and wide range of movements without any restrictions whatsoever. Flat-lying seams within the jacket will remove the risk of irritation from occurring by rubbing and chafing. The Mimic Gold and Pertex Quantum materials are made from 100% recycled Polyester and Polyamide, making them a sustainable alternative.
