A kid's-specific last and a sockliner size checker helps to accommodate growing feet and the medial forefoot wrap-up outsole and toe rubber stitch are designed to improve durability.
Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of the ASICS GT-1000 13 GS has been created with engineered mesh that adjusts to your little one's natural foot shape providing a comfortable midfoot hold. The breathable mesh encases each foot in comfort, it allows air to flow through the upper, supplying fresh, cool air while simultaneously releasing built-up heat. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for feet to thrive in. Overlays have been used on the upper to increase structure and protection. They have been placed around the midfoot and the toe for long-lasting comfort whilst protecting the toes from knocks and scrapes. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage for distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
An EVA compound has been used within the midsole for a softer feel underfoot and cushioning comfort. It absorbs shock as your little one strikes the unforgiving ground, reducing the stress and strain on the foot and joints, thus minimising the risk of injury. Teamed with rearfoot GEL technology, that works to absorb impacts quickly creates softer landings and smoother transitions. The shoes have a kid's specific last and a sockliner size checker to help accommodate growing feet. The midsole helps produce a more supportive stride while keeping overpronation at bay and little feet comfortable.
The sockliner is produced with the solution dyeing process that reduces water usage by approximately 33% and carbon emissions by approximately 45% compared to the conventional dyeing technology.
Solid Rubber Outsole
This style includes a solid rubber outsole, combined with a medial wrap-up, for enhanced durability of the shoes. The rubber outsole can form a solid bond with the ground beneath to ensure traction and grip on road surfaces. The rubber outsole is highly durable to ensure long-lasting wear. The durable nature of the rubber will not wear down easily so these shoes will withstand long training sessions. Completing the outsole are flex grooves that assist with grip and form a solid base to push off from. The grooves allow the whole outsole to naturally flex where the foot flexes to increase comfort and performance.
