Technical Mesh Upper
Made from a technical mesh construction the shoes ensure that feet stay warm, without overheating so you can enjoy every part of your trail without being distracted. The shoe's technical mesh material prevents your feet from overheating and becoming uncomfortable during intense sessions as they allow air to flow freely through the shoes, providing a comfortable level of cool breathability. The upper is soft for maximum comfort against the skin, whilst reflective details ensure you remain visible in low-light conditions, allowing you to tackle those early morning or evening runs. A traditional lace-up system keeps your foot locked down securely and a lace garage helps you keep the laces contained in one place to prevent them from untieing or getting in the way of your run. At least 50% of the shoe's main upper material has been made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions.
Flytefoam Blast Midsole
The Gel-Trabuco 12's has an energetic underfoot ride thanks to a FlyteFoam Blast midsole. This foam is softer and bouncier, providing a great feel from footstrike to toe-off. The soft and energetic nature of the midsole increases the underfoot softness, almost enveloping the foot in a plush, supportive wrap. The midsole is made up of multiple compounds to bring you a cushioned and explosive ride from stepping out to stepping in. FlyteFoam Blast is the main cushioning compound because of its lightweight foam formulation and high energy return. Its lightweight foam construction reduces drag allowing you to run faster for longer whilst the elastomer creates a high energy return for increased bounce and unrivalled toe-offs. Resilient and innovative, FlyteFoam Blast technology lets you run with the feeling that your feet aren't even touching the ground. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run, so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. An adaptive guidance system ensures your foot is guided through the gait cycle whilst improving midfoot structural integrity by reducing imbalance caused by shifts in your centre of pressure when navigating uneven terrain. Finishing the midsole of the Gel-Trabuco 12, the Gel cushioning in the heel improves impact absorption and creates a softer feeling at footstrike.
ASICS Grip Outsole
ASICS proprietary outsole rubber provides high grip on various terrain, without compromising durability. The ASICS Grip Outsole offers improved grip on a range of surfaces both wet and dry for fast confident footing. The lugged outsole pattern features ASICS Grip rubber while incorporating an uphill and downhill lug pattern on the lateral and medial side of the shoe to improve traction on slippery terrain. Additionally, a rock protection plate helps the outsole stay flexible and shield the foot from abrupt terrain or trail debris.
