Weather-Resistant Mesh Upper
Developed to provide lightweight breathability and water-resistance, the Five Ten Kestrel Pro BOA Mountain Bike Shoes have been constructed using a weather-resistant synthetic and mesh upper. Mesh allows air to fully permeate throughout the shoe, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air whilst simultaneously pushing out hot, muggy air. Supplying flexible support, the mesh works to increase ventilation and eradicate the build-up of sweat which is unavoidable during exercise. Sweat and moisture are wicked away from the feet leaving you feeling fresh and ready to clock up the miles in extreme comfort. The mesh is also weather-resistant meaning it works to repel light wind and rain to ensure added comfort in harsh weather conditions. Synthetic overlays swathe the midfoot to provide durability as well as support. The overlays resist the effects of wear and tear and work in tandem with the BOA lacing system which ensures a dynamic, secure fit. The BOA system allows for micro-adjustments that ensure secure lacing that won't come undone. Easy to adjust and release, the laces will provide a secure grip on the foot over an extremely long period of time. Completing the upper is a non-slip heel cup that securely locks the heel in place so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces and supports your feet on the pedals. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and cushion the foot on the bike; the cushioning effectively prevents damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. A nylon shank has also been used to reduce torsional rotation which in turn will reduce your risks of injury. The shank increases stability so you can continue with complete confidence. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sockliner which provides added underfoot cushioning to ensure further comfort on the trails. The sockliner also increases ventilation to keep your feet cool when temperatures begin to rise.

Designed to provide grip and traction to any pedals C4 is ideal for off-road cycling. The outsole also works to dampen shocks and vibrations so you can continue riding with complete comfort. Stealth C4 is also highly durable so you can perform with complete confidence on rough, uneven and pointy terrain. A dotty tread pattern has also been used on the Kestrel to provide the ultimate sticky surface for your feet and pedals. The dotty pattern interacts with any pedal pin to ensure grip and traction so you can ride with complete confidence. Rounded edges are also used on the dotty pattern to ensure freedom of movement, the rounded edges allow to remain gripped as you fine-tune your foot position.
