Textile Upper

The adidas Fabela X hockey shoes are constructed with a lightweight textile upper which ensures a glove-like fit while synthetic overlays placed on top offer extra defences against water and impact from the ball. An inner sock conforms and hugs the foot for a comfortable fit, meanwhile, the padded tongue and collar enhance step-in comfort. Neoprene foam has been integrated into the toe area, which provides added protection from the ball; ensuring confidence on the hockey field. Finishing off the upper is the traditional lace closure which ensures a secure and personalised fit, reducing the risk of any distractions the laces might cause.

BOOST Midsole

adidas take cushioning to new heights with their ultra-responsive midsole. Tiny TPU capsules are moulded together to form a platform that is different to standard, solid foams; absorbing energy and then expelling it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance; keeping you going for longer. The plush, responsive cushioning will spare your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete. Boost also manages to maintain its special function and bounce in conditions as low as -20 degrees, making it a reliable, durable and hard to beat midsole. The midsole shape of the Fabela X allows the forefoot to be close to the ground improving direct control and further supporting the natural running movement. Providing support and stability during movements the heel of the shoes features heel stabilisers, enabling a more controlled step with support.

TPU Outsole

A high-performance TPU outsole completes the Fabela X by providing exceptional turf grip and fast acceleration as you break past the defence. Additional traction comes from the moulded rubber lugs which grip into the ground and support multi-directional movements.
