Oboz Cottonwood Low B-Dry Women's Walking Shoes
The Cottonwoods are Oboz's most sustainable hiking shoes to date. Each hiking shoe features numerous 100% recycled elements including the upper and lining, along with a bio-based I'm Green Sugarcane EVA midsole and a PFAS-Free DWR finish. That should provide some bonus smiles with every mile.
Nubuck Upper
The upper has been carefully constructed using specific materials to enhance your walking experience. The upper of the Cottonwood Low uses nubuck leather which offers optimal durability on the most challenging of terrains. The leather used has gone through the Leather Working Group and is responsibly raised and traceable from the farm of birth, with no antibiotics or hormones, from ranchers that adhere to strict verified animal well-being standards. Keeping your feet dry when the weather decides to turn is Oboz's own B-DRY waterproof technology. This has been designed to keep everything from getting in but lets all that sweat escape. This increases the excellent breathability that is already provided by the Cottonwood as the upper also utilises abrasion-resistant mesh, which means that there is optimal ventilation. Protection your toes from bumps, scrapes and trail debris is a TPU toe guard that helps to prevent injury and increase the durability of the shoe. A DWR (Durable Water Resistant) coating has been added to the upper to increase weather protection perfect for those wet days on the trail. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system created with recycled laces to help lock the midfoot to prevent any excessive movement.
EVA Midsole
Constructed using an EVA midsole, the Oboz Cottonwood Shoes provide comfortable cushioning that keeps you going all day long. The injection moulded EVA midsole provides the support and protection of a shoe while still offering the feel of a slipper. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move on the trail, providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. Oboz has fitted the Cottonwood with an O-Fit Insole. This insole has low-density EVA pods that provide cushioning and comfort. Moisture-wicking fabrics have also been used to keep the feet dry and the shoes well-ventilated, reducing the build-up of sweat. Engineered to support the arch and put the foot in a neutral position, reducing fatigue perfect for long days on the trails.
Trail Tread Outsole
The Trail Tread outsole of the Oboz Cottonwood Low B-Dry Walking Shoes is a favourite for hikers, going the extra mile as always giving you a trio of benefits; shedding mud, offering intense traction and maintaining stability the outsole is exactly what every trekker needs. Oboz's most-tested rubber compound boasts superior slip resistance, enhanced durability and improved elongation and tensile strength. Sidewall lugs grip those off-camber trails when you need that additional edge whilst also conserving weight.
