The North Face Chakal Waterproof Jacket
The Chakal Jacket is back for another season, now made using recycled materials. It boasts waterproof, windproof and breathable DryVent fabric technology as well as insulating Heatseeker Eco for warmth.
This jacket is crafted with a wind and waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed DryVent 2L shell with a non-PFC DWR finish to help keep you dry, meaning you can take on the mountain. For warmth, the jacket features Heatseeker Eco Advanced synthetic insulation, which has a dual-fibre construction that provides a high warmth-to-weight ratio, packability and durability. Underarm vents come in handy on warmer days or when really charging the slopes, releasing built-up heat and vapour so you stay cool and dry. A removable, fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood, internal hem cinch-cord (with a two-point adjustment) and adjustable cuffs (with embossed hook-and-loop tabs) help seal out the elements when you need them to. For even greater coverage, a snap-down powder skirt with gripper elastic and an integration clip allows you to attach the jacket to your trousers. Integrated, stretch-knit wrist gaiters with thumbholes prevent the sleeves from creeping up, whilst the hem cinch cords finish in the hand pockets, allowing you to adjust the hem from the comfort of your pockets to keep hands warm.
A plethora of pockets feature to provide plenty of storage on the move, including an internal zipped pocket, covered zip hand pockets, a large internal mesh drop-in pocket and two chest pockets with exposed, PU-coated, reverse-coil, #5 zips. A covered, secure-zip wrist pocket with a goggle wipe also features to ensure you can keep your goggles close at hand and clean. For easy on/off a polyurethane-coated, reverse-coil, #5 centre front zip glides with ease, and the embossed logo lining and external logos provide a stylish look.
