Black Diamond ATC-Guide Alpine Belay Device

A more compact, lighter version of the versatile ATC-Guide, the ATC-Alpine Guide is built for smash and grab ascents in the mountains.

Designed to be lightweight, Black Diamond ATC-Guide Alpine Belay Device is the ideal addition to your climbing pack. Weighing just 73 grams, this featherweight belay device is optimized for ropes between 8.1 and 8.5 millimeters in diameter yet works with ropes from 6.9 to 9mm. The multi-use belay is perfect for smash and grabs ascents in the mountains as it has multiple friction zones that allow for belay and rappelling. The multiple friction modes provide the optimal amount of stopping power when lowering or rappelling whilst the devices guide mode lets you belay one or two seconding climbers off an anchor. The oversized anchor-hole allows for easy feeding and pulling of rope, and the durable cable holds its shape and resist getting caught up between ropes. Completing the ATC-Guide Alpine is an auto-lock release hole which accepts small carabiners.
