Engineered Mesh Upper
The upper of the Jolt is constructed from an engineered mesh material that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh works incredibly hard to allow air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing you with a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. The mesh is also extremely comfortable next to the foot decreasing distractions and irritation that can occur on longer runs. Additionally, the upper offers synthetic overlays that wrap around the foot for increased comfort and support. The overlays work with the eyelets to conform around the foot and provide better and more structural integrity. The synthetic overlays further work alongside an internal heel counter that works incredibly hard to provide a locked-in fit. This innovative technology prevents in-shoe slipping which in turn prevents hot spots, irritation and chafing. Amplifoam Midsole
The midsole of the Jolt contains ASICS' groundbreaking AmpliFoam technology. Designed to work with all 33 joints in the foot, this technology provides soft cushioning constructed at a lower density, which protects it from breaking down. The Amplifoam unit is engineered to maintain durability at softer densities, providing better flexibility, comfort and platform adaptability ideal for natural running. Lightweight and resilient, Amplifoam spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Completing the midsole is an Ortholite sockliner which increases underfoot comfort and provides effective moisture management.
Solid Rubber Outsole
The tough, durable rubber used on the outsole of the shoe is abrasion-resistant which will prevent any damage from occurring over a long period of time exposed to hard ground. The rubber compound offers a higher density of rubber in high-impact areas of the outsole where the most wear occurs throughout the miles, this helps reduce the wear and tear allowing you to run harder and for longer. The grooves allow the whole of the outsole to naturally flex where the foot flexes to increase comfort as well as performance.
