Engineered Mesh Upper
The GT-4000 3 makes every step count, helping your feet from the first step. The engineered mesh upper is highly breathable, dissipating heat build-up quickly, ensuring a comfortable cool run. As well as this, the mesh upper is engineered with a 3D print that eliminates the need for traditional overlays. Its brushed texture creates a softer feel to improve comfort while providing advanced airflow. When firing through the gait cycle extra help is at hand with an internal heel counter; it provides improved support and creates an enhanced heel fit, reducing risks of potential injury to the foot and surrounding muscles and allowing a smooth transition from heel strike to toe-off. The shoes feature a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and reduces in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.
FlyteFoam Propel Midsole
Featuring FlyteFoam Propel in the midsole, the midsole of the GT-4000 has a lightweight foam formulation and high energy return. Its lightweight foam construction reduces drag allowing you to run faster for longer whilst the elastomer creates high energy return for increased bounce and unrivalled toe-offs. A special formulation has also been used in the construction of propelling to ensure unrivalled propulsion, allowing you to get better performances out of every stride. Resilient and innovative, FlyteFoam Propel technology lets you run with the feeling that your feet aren't even touching the ground. A length of SpEVA Foam midsole material resides underfoot to improve bounce-back characteristics and decrease midsole breakdown; the added cushion produces a soft feel and improved comfort for an even, uninterrupted ride. Sitting beneath the SpEVA platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, is the Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning System. This clever technology works to reduce shock during the impact phase; sparing your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, and allowing for a peaceful transition to mid-stance. A 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION feature allows you to experience a softer feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the LITETRUSS midsole technology improves stability, creating a smoother and more balanced stride whilst the OrthoLite X-30 sockliner moulds to the shape of the foot for a smoother ride and a customised fit.
AHAR and AHAR+ Outsole
The AHAR and AHAR+ outsole provides excellent abrasion resistance and durability giving enhanced grip every run. The combination of highly durable rubber material with reinforced material offers unprecedented durability and ultimate performance every time; AHAR has an abrasion resistance that's twice as high as conventional rubber, whilst the AHAR+ is three times higher.
