Synthetic Leather Upper
Designed to provide durable comfort, the upper of the ASICS Gel-Peake Hockey Shoes has been constructed using a synthetic leather. The upper ensures a wide range of protection so you can gain the maximum from their footwear. The soft, durable leather ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection from loose debris and rocks. The durable nature of the leather minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a shoe you can truly rely on. Perforations also exist within the upper to provide added ventilation so you will never feel overheated. The perforations allow cool air to flow throughout whilst, at the same time, allowing hot humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Reinforcement panels at the sides offer better midfoot support. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Completing the midsole is ASICS's signature rearfoot gel cushioning which works to reduce shock from harsh landings and abrupt braking.
AHAR Plus Outsole
The Gel-Peake 2 has supreme grip and traction thanks to the AHAR Plus outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used at heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber to ensure complete protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
