The GEL-FIELD SPEED GS shoe is one of the lightest styles in ASICS' field hockey footwear range. It's designed to help you move faster and more smoothly. The upper features a more flexible construction, which creates a more adaptable fit during multi-directional movements. Meanwhile, GEL technology in the forefoot helps provide good shock absorption and a softer feeling at footstrike.
Synthetic Upper
Designed to provide durable comfort, the upper of the ASICS Gel-Field Speed Hockey Shoes has been constructed using synthetic upper. The upper ensures a wide range of protection so you can gain the maximum from your footwear. The soft, durable material ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection whilst also being lightweight. The upper is highly flexible providing a more natural feel when running, helping you to perform at your best. The durable nature of the synthetic upper minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a shoe you can truly rely on. Perforations also exist within the upper to provide added ventilation so you will never feel overheated. The perforations allow cool air to flow throughout whilst, at the same time, allowing hot humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Completing the upper is a standard lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
EVA Midsole
A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, meaning it will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Completing the midsole is ASICS' signature GEL technology. This cushioning features in the forefoot to help reduce shock from harsh landings and abrupt braking, providing you with a comfortable shoe game after game. Not only this but ASICS have also used their X-GUIDANCE system which allows for quicker starts helping you to beat your opponents when sprinting for the ball.
AHARPLUS Rubber Outsole
The Gel-Field Speed has supreme grip and traction on the pitch thanks to the AHARPLUS outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear helping keep the shoes in top condition for longer. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect users from losing control and slipping. Strategically positioned in critical areas of the outsole, this exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber to ensure complete protection and durability. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces.
