Durable Leather Upper
A highly robust and durable leather material has been used to construct the upper, giving exceptional protection and feel for your feet. The leather adds support and durability, ideal for road adventures as it resists abrasion as well as guarding against debris and sharp objects. Airholes are situated throughout the upper for enhanced breathability, allowing cool air to circulate for a drier, healthier environment. Located on the tongue is a mesh material, helping to eradicate the build-up of excess sweat and moisture. Internal bamboo lining ensures your shoes remain fresh by fighting odours and offering anti-microbial properties.
The upper is stitch free, meaning your feet are protected from friction and irritation such as chafing. A traditional lacing system offers a secure, locked-in feel as you move with a padded tongue adds further comfort. At the rear of the shoe is a personalised heel fit, which allows for a soft, padded feel in the heel area while also delivering a snug, contoured fit around the heel and ankle. Rounding off the upper is a YKK zip closure on the medial side, offering further security whilst walking as well as helping to provide a more simple put on and take off.
Solyte Midsole
A Solyte compound resides in the midsole to provide lightweight yet effective cushioning for your feet as you move. Solyte is lighter than typical SpEVA and also offers durability to coincide with the cushioning properties. In addition, Solyte is highly responsive, meaning a plusher underfoot feel to help you move across varying terrain with consummate ease. Assisting the Solyte compound is another of Asics' signature technologies: DuoMax. While the Solyte material offers cushioning, the DuoMax adds stability and structure to the midsole. Often associated with those who moderately overpronate, DuoMax helps to enhance gait efficiency and allows a more natural movement. Furthermore, the inclusion of a walking bevel adds to the overall feel of the shoe and works to increase performance. Finally, GEL cushioning attenuates shock and impact by lessening the burden placed on your knees and joints.
AHAR+ Outsole
ASICS High Abrasion Rubber+ (AHAR+) is located in the outsole for durability and stability. The rubber compound is placed in critical areas of the outsole for heightened durability as well as a firm, assured footing. Working in conjunction with AHAR+ is a trusstic system, which reduces the weight of the sole unit whilst retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. Additionally, guidance line works by influencing a consistent load and motion from the heel strike to toe-off. This is especially critical during the flat-foot to propulsion phase. The guidance line system delivers gait efficiency and helps to reduce the likelihood of injury.
