Woven Upper
The upper of the Fuji Speed 2 Trail Running Shoes have been designed with a lightweight Woven material to increase durability against abrasions from rocks and roots. The upper is long-lasting and reliable for an exceptional level of comfort. The uppers are therefore made from hardcore mesh which offers you protection but with improved drainage, meaning your shoes will drain the water out as quickly as they get wet in the first place. Alongside this, the shoes have an asymmetrical lacing system, which reduces pressure across the top of your foot, whilst also creating a supportive fit for your foot to remain comfortable. A lace garage also helps to keep the laces from coming undone, meaning a secure, locked-in fit is ensured throughout the duration of your run.
FlyteFoam Blast Plus Midsole
The Fuji Speed has been constructed using FlyteFoam Blast Plus cushioning which provides the perfect balance of lightweight and rebound properties. These layers of protection, bounce, and comfort provide you with unmatched shock absorption and a lively ride. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run so that you can train harder, more frequently, and for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. The midsole also has a Carbon Plate which runs from the midfoot towards the front to add structure while guiding the foot and propelling the body forward whilst allowing you to be able to conserve more energy and help maintain your pace at the later stages of the race.
ASICSGRIP Outsole
Outstanding grip and traction are guaranteed with the ASICSGRIP outsole. Keeping you anchored to the ground beneath you will improve efficiency, making sure that every second counts. The rubber is able to form a solid grip on surfaces beneath you for complete control in all conditions. Additionally, the rubber is extremely tough and abrasion-resistant, which will mean that it will maintain its shape and definition over a long period of time. The design of the outsole will also provide further traction, as it will dig in to provide further control while a lug pattern on the bottom of the shoe helps to improve traction on slippery terrain.
