The knitted upper has been specifically designed to adapt to your foot's movement without sacrificing performance. Not only this, but it is comfortable, breathable, and lightweight, encompassing all the essential elements to create a smooth, distraction-free run. The knit upper will not only work to provide a contemporary look and superior comfort but, will also work to increase ventilation to keep you cool during intense training or running sessions. The knit construction allows air to flow freely throughout the construction, therefore, reducing an uncomfortable heat build-up and creating a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. The sock-like fit ensures complete comfort for all-day wear by reducing the risks of chafing and irritation. A FootShape Fit provides you with added levels of comfort, by allowing your foot to sit more naturally by providing more space for toes to splay comfortably. This spacious construction addresses the biological differences between men's and women's, providing more space in the shoes. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Altra EGO Midsole
The Escalante 3 uses extremely responsive and high-performing EVA through the midsole construction of these shoes, which provides the foot with supreme cushioning and rebound. Using Altra EGO the shoe's foam midsole has been designed to provide added energy return and a responsive, yet soft, comfortable feel. The shoes have a Balanced Cushioning platform, in order to ensure your heel and forefoot are at an equal distance from the ground, encouraging better alignment, and further ensuring you remain comfortable. The feet sit on the midsole on a zero-drop platform. This means the heel and the forefoot are the same distance from the ground, encouraging proper low-impact form throughout your trail run.
Durable Outsole
To supply feet with a long-lasting, hard-wearing pair of shoes, the Escalante 3's have a durable outsole. This outsole provides grip and traction on varying terrains, and InnerFlex also resides throughout. The grid-like grooves through the outsole are designed to provide flexibility and movement underfoot.
