Like hitting fast-forward. The adidas Adizero Avanti shoes reduce fatigue so you finish 5k and 10k races with a kick. They took two top technologies from their road racers and retooled them for the track.
Breathable Mesh Upper
Featuring lightweight mesh throughout the upper for enhanced breathability, these shoes allow air to circulate freely to your feet to increase ventilation. A second-skin feel to the upper provides additional support when needed on the forefoot, making for a smooth, stable ride. Micro-suede makes up the interior for a soft, smooth feel, allowing your feet to remain comfortable throughout your race. A traditional lace closure locks down the midfoot for a secure fit.
25% of the components used to make the upper are made with a minimum of 50% recycled content.
Lightstrike Pro Midsole
The midsole of the Adirzero Avanti TYO has been constructed using Lightstrike cushioning that delivers the optimal balance of lightweight and responsive cushioning. Designed to provide responsive cushioning without the weight, the midsole combines energy return and stability into one of the lightest TPU foams on the market. Lightstrike spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces whilst also propelling you forward to provide you with explosive movement and enduring speed. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible to ensure you can reach new PBs.
Pebax Plate Outsole
The Pebax Spike Plate features in the forefoot, with 6 spike receptacles, to increase traction in any condition. This element of the shoe also allows you to dig into the track in order to gain a better grip so that you can reach your top speed across the finishing line.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
