Lightweight Mesh Upper
The upper of the Adizero Adios 8 provides you with exceptional lightweight breathability. The shoes allow air to easily enter and exit the shoes, providing a constant flow of cool air, ensuring your feet are well-ventilated no matter how hard your effort is. As you begin to sweat, the moisture is able to escape out of the shoe, which will keep your feet feeling fresh and dry. The construction is extremely lightweight, which will keep the overall weight of the shoe down to a minimum, helping you to push yourself further and pick up those new PBs. The mesh will also hug the feet to lock them in place for a more efficient stride. Around the toes and the side of the shoes, adidas have added overlays to provide you with additional protection from heavy forces and impacts. Finishing the upper is a traditional lacing system that provides you with a comfortable and secure fit that reduces in-shoe slippage letting you run with no distractions.
Made with a series of recycled materials, this upper features at least 50% recycled content. This product represents just one of adidas' solutions to help end plastic waste.
Lightstrike Cushioning Midsole
Created to provide comfort and speed from the moment you put them on till the moment you take them off, the adidas Adizero Adios 8 Running Shoes have been constructed using a combination of Lightstrike 2.0 and Lightstrike Pro cushioning. Lightstrike cushioning spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces whilst also propelling you forward to provide you with explosive movement and enduring speed. The light and springy ride supports your feet through the gait cycle whilst remaining as lightweight as possible to ensure you can reach new PBs. The Adios 8 features the all-new TORSIONRODS 2.0 system. The updated system includes an additional rod through the midfoot that provides a stiffness that increases force transfer in each stride, combined with the Lightstrike cushioning to result in a midsole with a flexible feel and support in key areas.
